Savage Sunday... or a little more "reorcanisation"

With a big 4,000 points per side game coming up in roughly a month (my Savage Orcs versus and evil combo of Lizardmen and Beasts of Chaos) a little more "reorcanisation" was in order. Last month I finally managed to get my sweaty little grippers on a decent sized auction of Savage Orc spearmen which are rather hard to get in any quantity at a decent price.

After a little more fiddling with my core units of Savage Orc Boyz I'm now able to field three x 24 units armed with choppas and a single 18 unit armed with spears. That will eventually expand to 24 as well but will require further fleaBay foo or perhaps simply closing my eyes, yelling waaaggghh!!!! and clicking Buy It Now several times... gulp!

Anyway, here's a progress shot of troops in the process of being moved about and reformed.


Lurking in the background at left you can also see the nearly completed Red Rashers, a second unit of Savage Boar Boyz armed with spears. Finally, right at the back are an even dozen of Oglah Khan's Hobgoblin Wolf Boyz keen to also join the fray.

    Having seen these in the (green) flesh last weekend I can honestly say that the pics on your blog thus far don't do these guys justice. A really lovely Army.

      Thanks Paul. I'm a rubbish photographer, partly through lack of skill and partly through lack of time. It's something I keep meaning to spend more time on but never do. Painting and gaming always seems more important!

    That's a really sharp paint job Millsy. You might check out Shield Wolf miniatures for their savage orcs.

    Looking properly orky! May must be Orc month as I'm awaiting a parcel of Isengard Urk Hai. Rohan man er horse gives the stew a nice piquant flavor! ;)

    And here I was thinking that Project WAAAGGHH! had been put on the back burner. You have been busy!

    Especially looking forward to seeing the Wolfboys completed, those guys are a real blast from the past.

    Looks great! Hope you can find a good deal for the last missing Boyz! e(vil)Bay can be a bit outrageous nowadays with the Oldhammer boom raising prices to ridiculous levels at times. I've personally switched most my lead dealing activities to the Oldhammer facebook trading group. Pricing tends to be a lot more reasonable.
