Paint Table Saturday - Just a wee update

It's only four more hearthguard for my SAGA Scots, but it represents so much more; these are the Last of the Free, the final point for the warband.

(And yes, I am fully aware of just how long this has taken, so if we could keep the references to painting in geological time to a minimum, I'd be most grateful...)

Once these lads are done and dusted, that'll be six points of tartany goodness to grace the table. They're looking a wee bit rough at the moment, but we'll highlight and finish and tuft up their bases until they're fit to join their comrades and show the enemies of Alba the folly of daring to set a hostile foot upon Scottish soil!

Stay tuned...

Evan

  1. Did they have beards when you started them? I'm so sorry I couldn't resist Ev. ;)

  2. Nothing wrong with painting in geological timeframes! I just aim to finish projects before the next ice age.

  3. Nice work so far Ev. You deserve a gin and (tec)tonic when you finish these.

  4. I'm guessing that the jolting from the formation of the Continents might have caused your brush to be unsteady so don't be so hard on yourself.

  6. Guys, you are brilliant, you have put such a smile on my face with your comments! However, a cursory glance at one of my earliest posts on this blog will give you some idea of my problem - "Confessions of a Myopic Procrastinator"!

Thanks for your moral support (I'll be charitable and assume it's moral support...), I'll plead extended working hours and poor light for now (as well as a minor detour to help out with Russ' 40th birthday Orks!), but I really have to stop making excuses and lift my productivity, especially since my first Scot was painted on 27 May 2013! That's something like an average of one every 10 days, which any REAL painters like yourselves will laugh to scorn.

But it means a lot to me to have you cheering me on, despite my sporadic output. Thanks again!

  7. They look terrific Evan. You may be a slightly slower painter than I am, judging by the comments. :)
