A Song of Frost and Gravy, Part 4 - The Compleat Enchanters

Surprise, surprise! My Enchanters for Frostgrave are now complete!

Vaino the Enchanter and his determined young Apprentice Ilmar are now ready to venture into the ruins of Felstad in search of treasure and glory.

Here's Vaino, the brains of the outfit;

and here's Ilmar, the muscle. A diligent enough student, though far from the sharpest tool in the forge.

Of course, only a fool would go into Frostgrave alone, and Vaino will have to haggle with the assorted mercenaries and ne'er-do-wells who have made their way to the camps and shantytowns which have sprouted like mushrooms as the glaciers retreat.

Who will be the first to join their warband? We shall see...

That's all for now -stay tuned!

  1. Well done on completing your Enchanters Evan. The metal minis for this game are certainly packed full of detail, so I know how long a task painting just one of them can be. You've done a top job on these guys and the blue certainly ties them together as Master & Apprentice :-)

    1. Thanks Martin, though I think I will have to give them another blast of dullcote - it might just be the lighting, but they still look a little shiny for my liking. Still, they're table ready, which is the main thing!

    1. Thank you , Mr Awdry!

      I actually got to work on some more cleaning and prep last night. I'm hoping to get into the habit of setting aside some regular prep time, as this was, I think, my major production bottleneck during last year's Painting Challenge.

    1. Thanks MichaƂ, it's a start! Like I said above, prep and cleaning are the things that slow me up. Still, I'm feeling positive!

    1. Thanks Iain, you should grab the de Camp tribute anthology, 'The Enchanter Completed' - that's a great read for any fan!
