"Gentles, methinks you frown:
And wherefore gaze this goodly company,
As if they saw some wondrous monument,
Some comet or unusual prodigy?"
The Taming of the Shrew, Act III, Scene II
Ev's doing a spot of painting. I think that qualifies as unusual.
Back to SAGA again, to prepare some reinforcements for my six points of Scots; those Norse-Gael ne'er-do-wells, the Gall-Gaedhill, or 'Sons of Death' as they are also known. Mr and Mrs Death must be so proud!
Hoping to get a decent start on painting before the weekend's out, so stay tuned!
Ev
Back to SAGA - goody!
ReplyDeleteI just like SAGA too damned much - the rules are simple enough even for me!
DeleteHappy painting Ev!
ReplyDeleteThanks Anne, while I'll never match your quality of work (and I'm still gobsmacked by the boar-riding dwarf in last year's Challenge!), I hope to get back into the swing of things again and make sure that I get in at least a couple of hours a week at the painting table!
DeleteThose miniatures look fantastic. A great way to enjoy your return to the painting table!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Darcy! The Gripping Beast SAGA figs are excellent, lots of fun to paint. I need that sense of enjoyment when I work, which is why I could never do this professionally.
DeleteThe fact that the period is one of my faves is a great help as well!
A change is a good as a rest they say. ;)
ReplyDeleteToo true, Mr Awdry - although I think I've rested enough!
DeleteIf only I weren't so damned easily distracted oh look a squirrel...!
Wishing you luck in getting back to painting. I know GB figures are normally fun to paint, so I'd imagine you'll have a good time of it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Roy; it's been over a month now, and that's longer than I would like to go in future without some hobby activity to keep me sane!
DeleteSo are they done yet? :-)
ReplyDeleteAs I hoped, a decent start was made - but you'll just have to await next Saturday's update!
